Elezioni politiche 2018: la campagna elettorale passa anche da Facebook. Basta visitare i profili dei partiti per essere sommersi da una quantità di immagini, card, slogan e simboli che non sempre sono omogenei nel tempo. In questa serie di articoli troverete una galleria degli errori (grafici) di tutti gli schieramenti. In questo articolo ci passiamo in rassegna il centro sinistra. Quali sono gli errori grafici di questa campagna elettorale? Quali gli esempi virtuosi? L’ho chiesto allo sguardo acuto di Franny (Francesca Irene Thiery), grafica creativa e illustratrice romana, che non risparmia (quasi) nessuno.

Buongiorno Francesca, innanzitutto grazie per aver accettato l’intervista.
Grazie a te! Faccio subito autocritica a nome di tutta la categoria: noi grafici abbiamo spesso una deformazione professionale esagerata. Quando sediamo al ristorante passiamo prima in rassegna i font e l’allineamento del menù, facciamo a pezzi il logo, impartiamo lezioni non richieste di impaginazione agli altri commensali… infine ordiniamo una margherita con poca mozzarella! Stare seduti dietro al computer a bacchettare le scelte dei nostri colleghi è un atteggiamento che ci rende poco simpatici… ma quanto ci piace! Quindi accetto volentieri.

Liberi e Uguali: “L’idea grafica è intelligente ma si rischia il fai-da-te”
Iniziamo con il centro sinistra. Secondo te quali sono i lati positivi e le criticità delle card e dei manifesti qui sotto?
<<Liberi e Uguali è una lista elettorale e non un partito, con la difficoltà di farsi riconoscere dall’elettorato a pochi mesi dalla diffusione del logo. La polemica sulle “foglioline” ha contribuito inizialmente alla diffusione mediatica: mai come in questo periodo social vale la sovrautilizzata regola del “basta che se ne parli”.
L’idea grafica è intelligente: il sito mette a disposizione il materiale modificabile in kit per sostenitori e candidati, organizzato in una griglia che consente facilmente di inserire informazioni, appuntamenti e punti programmatici.
Il rischio è però quello di tutti i fai-da-te: ovvero scritte non allineate e caratteri stretchati: deformare il font crea un effetto sgradevole.
Il logo è correttamente rosso (pardon, amaranto!). Bellino. Ma c’è un problema che attanaglia tutti i grafici. Su Facebook, il rosso sgrana. Non c’è niente da fare!
Passando alle immagini con Civati, leader di Possibile, ci addentriamo in un campo diverso da quello grafico. Si vuole puntare sulla simpatia… te che ne pensi, ci sono riusciti?
Il Partito Democratico: “Una mastodontica quantità di materiale differente”
Per quanto riguarda il Partito Democratico, la prima cosa che colpisce è la mastodontica quantità di materiale differente. La maggior parte delle grafiche non sono per niente male, ma solo ad aprire la pagina fb del Pd di Roma, ad esempio, mi gira la testa. Non riesco nemmeno a capire se si differenziano per candidato, per circoli, per eventi…
Inoltre si passa da “cards” classiche a immagini di ispirazione tarantiniana come questa qui sopra in un blob anche un po’ inquietante.
Per quanto riguarda le immagini, molte sono facilmente riconoscibili come stock di immagini on line, come queste qui sotto. Nulla di male, è una risorsa utilissima per i designer, che va usata con un po’ di attenzione per evitare l’effetto “pubblicità di fermenti lattici scandinavi”…
Adesso vediamo le immagini qui sotto: usare un blocco colore in trasparenza per scrivere un testo leggibile su un’immagine è un espediente grafico diffuso e corretto. Ma ragazzi, avete chiamato a consulenza Wes Craven per tranciare a metà il naso della Madia?
Potere al Popolo e +Europa: i giovani
Infine, parliamo dei giovani partiti Potere al Popolo e +Europa. Per quanto riguarda il partito guidato da Viola Carofalo, guardando il loro sito sembra che l’idea comunicativa sia una: il viola. Viola il sito, viola il logo, viola il maglione del capo politico che si chiama per l’appunto Viola.
Ragazzi! Nei titoli non si mettono mai i punti finali. MAI. Bravi però a mettere a disposizione materiale editabile facilmente.
Per +Europa di Emma Bonino, qui nulla da dire. Comunicazione efficace, limpida, moderna e credibile. Bravi>>.
Tiriamo le somme del centro sinistra
Franny, a tuo parere quali partiti hanno una comunicazione più omogenea e quali invece più caotica? Pensi che ci sia qualche analogia fra le card di partiti diversi o delle somiglianze inaspettate?
<<Decisamente i più omogenei sono+ Europa e Liberi e Uguali. Non so se per bravura dei grafici o per la necessità di creare un’identità in quattro e quattrotto. Il più caotico assolutamente il Pd>>.
