Nel numero di Repubblica n. 211 dell’altroieri (7 settembre 2018) si parla del premier Giuseppe Conte e del basso profilo che caratterizza il suo mandato, schiacciato fra i due ministri-leader Matteo Salvini e Luigi Di Maio. Ben tre articoli su Conte saturano le pagine 6 e 7 con un tono sarcastico e polemico: un articolo di cronaca sul ritiro di Conte dal concorso universitario alla Sapienza, un articolo di colore firmato da Filippo Ceccarelli, una colonna di Luca Bottura intitolata “Johnny English” che inventa il paradossale colloquio in inglese che Conte avrebbe dovuto sostenere all’università. Fin qui nulla di male.
Ma leggendo gli articoli, personalmente sono rimasta contrariata dal modo in cui un giornale come Repubblica prende per i fondelli Giuseppe Conte. A mio avviso il giornalista dovrebbe avere sempre uno sguardo acuto, tagliente, ma costruttivo anche nella critica a politici avversi.
Invece li ho trovato pieni di rancore, acredine, distruttivi. Insomma: una shitstorm.
Mi hanno ricordato lo stile di Marco Travaglio ai tempi di Berlusconi, quando nei suoi pur istruttivi editoriali storpiava i nomi dei politici per prenderli in giro. In un’intervista spiegò il perché: a suo avviso i politici erano talmente privi di credibilità che lui stesso non poteva parlarne seriamente.
Personalmente, sono convinta del contrario: per evidenziare il grottesco della politica, la corruzione e la deriva cabarettistica di alcuni personaggi la scelta migliore è parlarne seriamente. Quindi scrivere che sono Onorevoli parlamentati, Deputati e Senatori. Solo in questo modo si può sottolineare lo scarto (o la convergenza) fra politica seria e cialtroneria.
Al contrario, con la presa in giro ci si abbassa al loro livello, si entra in un miscuglio di odio e di arroganza che diventa della stessa pasta dell’avversario. La colonna satirica di Luca Bottura, purtroppo, mi ha lasciata interdetta e amareggiata. L’articolo di Filippo Ceccarelli, invece, mi è sembrato un esercizio di fine ironia che tuttavia non mi ha strappato alcun sorriso, alcuna riflessione. Lo avrei visto meglio inserito nella sua arguta e poetica rubrica “indizi neurovisivi” sul Venerdì di Repubblica.
Spero che in futuro, anzi, a partire da subito, il giornalismo riprenda il suo ruolo di critica tagliente, costruttiva e istruttiva, senza cadere nella facile trappola della vendetta.
